I'm Sam. an amateur photographer. Or so I think. I currently use my Canon DSLR for family events, company outings, and church activities. And recently, a prenup pictorial of two of my closest friends (I'll post pics later) - This, I hope would jump start my career in photography.
I have owned a DSLR camera (a second hand Canon 400d) since 2008 or 2009, i think but I have to verify this. Since then, I've been shooting mostly what i have mentioned above. I have always been fascinated with photography. I used to play around with my Dad's Pentax film camera, and i think, this was my influence.
I'd like to say I'm an amateur photographer simply because I'm not PRO. I would get praises for my pics and i'd feel great about it. Do some post-editing, post it on Facebook and try to get some "likes" on several pics. But that covers much of my amateur photographer life. I'm not even part of a photography group that would sometimes go out-of-town or do a "photo walk". Well, I'm planning to join but have yet to find one. If there's some talent and skill to how I shoot, it's because i taught myself which includes asking some tips from PRO's and on the internet, of course.
On Black Saturday (2014), i decided to upgrade my system. So, i bought the newest mid-range Canon camera at that time - a Canon 70d. There were two factors why i decided to upgrade. First, it was high time i did. Second, my friend's wedding's coming up. I'm kind of excited about this because i can post some of the pics here. And hopefully, get some attention from some important people. =)
